Adventures of a completion bonder – and why the heck do I need one?

Luke Randolph, named managing director of IFG Limited in 1999, oversees the operations of the London office.

During his career, he has served as general manager of Enigma, David Putnam's company in the mid-80's; production controller for Simon Perry's company, Umbrella Films; and chief executive at Allied Stars.

Luke has served on productions including The Killing Fields, White Mischief, Map of the Human Heart, Blind Flight and Gosford Park amongst many others, working with such eminent directors as Roland Joffe, Michael Radford, and Vincent Ward.

Luke will share some of the more ‘printable’ experiences of his career, and will give the inside info on how, in these tougher times, film finance is being constructed –what seems to be the trend, and from which countries.

Also he’ll explain just why a completion bond might save your bacon, and is a prerequisite for independent movies.
