Mick Southworth is the former boss of Film Four Distributors, during which time he released films such as 'The Madness of King George', 'Secrets and Lies' 'Brassed Off' and 'Fever Pitch'.
He then established Winchester Film Distribution in 2001. Under the successive ownerships of Winchester, Cobalt and ContentFilm, Mick as CEO UK Distribution, delivered a succession of successful films such as 'My Summer of Love', 'Lantana', 'The Man Who Sued God', and 'Open Range'
Now he heads the UK Distribution arm of The Works - a relatively new business, which started trading in the autumn of 2005. It acquires a licence to distribute feature films in all media in the UK. The company has an output deal for home entertainment with Universal Pictures. Cllectively The Works, constitutesthe UK's only quoted and vertically integrated film business, with the capability to distribute and sell feature films of all sizes, and a unique knowledge of the production and financing
base from which they come.
