"From Beyond The Grave"

Hammer Film Productions was once a powerhouse of the British Film Industry but for three decades the company has lain dormant. Now the brand that defined the great British film is back in business and plans to make more movies to terrify a new generation of fans.

Responsible for the classic horror series of Dracula, Frankenstein and Quatermass, alongside such gems as Blood from the Mummy's Tomb and the Sweet Scent of Death, the company will repackage some of the old favourites in its 300-strong library, and also plans new productions, inspired by such modern horror movies as 28 Weeks Later. It was announced Cannes last month that Cyrte Investments, which, in partnership with Goldman Sachs and MediaSet, acquired Nigel Sinclair's and Guy East's L.A. based production company Spitfire Pictures and combined it with the legendary British studio, in which Cyrte already has an interest, to form the base for building a new global filmed entertainment group, HS Media.

For development and production purposes, HS Media will initially have shareholders equity and facilities in excess of US$100 million, with the ability to leverage further capital. Exciting times for Hammer!
