Starting his career in the mid 80s with Max Headroom, John Hubbard cast further popular tv programmes such as Birds Of A Feather and then moved in to film with The Commitments in 1991. Other Irish projects followed: Into The West and Far And away (with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman). A steady mix of tv - Sharpe, Father Ted, Hornblower - and film - Loch Ness, Moll Flanders, Space Truckers, Evita, Waking Ned, Shergar, and Angela’s Ashes – saw John cast some 70 tv and film projects in the 1990s. Since 2000 he has cast a further 70 projects ranging from Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Lord Of The Rings, Enemy At The Gates, The Four Feathers, Laws Of Attraction to The Bourne Supremacy, The DaVinci Code, King Kong and United 93 with tv shows Rebus, Taggart and Rough Diamond for good measure.

He is one of the busiest and most successful in the business, and knows only too well the value of casting and how it can green-light a project.
