Internet Distribution – the future for movies?
As the number of broadband users increases worldwide, we are getting closer than ever to seeing regular delivery of movies/TV programming over the Internet. Indeed some of the American studios now are positioning themselves for this market.
WorldCinemaOnline offers award-winning independent titles from all over the world, and distributes quality independent films. There are many great independent movies that never make it outside their own territory. Print and advertising (P&A) costs remains prohibitively expensive for some interesting niche titles, and terrestrial TV stations are just not paying or finding the time in their schedules for subtitled or cult films. With WorldCinemaOnline, P&A costs are much, much lower. The filmmakers will also get a decent cut each time a film is downloaded and, they will be able to track every sale around the world.
