the lunch club

The lunch club was established in 1994, by producer Martin Cahill, as a non-profit making, and politically neutral, networking society and has grown to become the film, tv and media industry's premiere café du commerce.

Monthly lunches are held in London's West End (and a Brighton away-day lunch during the summer), with an invited guest speaker. Some of our previous speakers include:

Producers Duncan Kenworthy, Michael Kuhn, Michael Cowan, Nik Powell, Marc Samuelson, Richard Holmes and Jeremy Bolt. Directors Roy Ward Baker, Vic Armstrong, Jack Cardiff, Ronnie Neame, and Ray Harryhausen.

Executives Stewart Till (Chairman The Film Council and UIP), David Thompson (BBC Films), Peter Bennett-Jones (Tiger Aspect), John Woodward (CEO, Film Council), Elaine Bedell (BBC Independent Executive); Sir Roger Moore (Actor \ Director); Patsy Pollock (Casting Director); Robin Duval (BBFC); Dr Kim Howells MP (Film Minister); Victor Spinetti (Actor); Gayle Gover (CTBF); Richard 'Jaws' Kiel (Actor \ Writer) & many, many more.

The lunch club also hosts 3 or 4 networking evenings each year, such as Question Time, The Film World Meets The Book World, Quiz Night and An Evening With ... many of which are free or subsidised to members. Membership is inexpensive and open to all in the media business.
